Nike are celebrating the 10th anniversarry of their Ronaldo inspired Mercurial Vapour boot by releasing the Nike Mecurial Vapor IV.
10th Anniversaries are usually celebrated with Aluminium and Tin but Nike has decided to break their marriage vows with this very flash gesture.
Do you wanna be as fast as Tom Varndell and Vincent Clerc... Well runs maybe the appropriate word in terms of its appearance and effectiveness but Nike's fourth attempt to bridge the gap between football boot and running spike is a comfortable transition.
They asked football stars, who came up with innovations such as the Speed Plate to improve instant accelleration, a clear tactile coating that creates a gripped surface for all playing conditions, and the Vapor Traction System for more cushioning and extra protection. Next thing you'll know they will be asking Marc Jacobs and it'll be made out of silk.
They fit like a glove and you may as well be naked on foot as you can't feel them when you're running around a trimmed bowling green. Apologies to the members at Hove Bowling Club.
