Harlequins sink their teeth into the Sharks...

I've never liked Sharks anyway, but a Shark lacking killer instinct, let alone 15 of them. Even though they won - I was 6 points shy of another money-spinning weekend.

I correctly advised you to back:

Wasps to beat Gloucester with a 6 point advantage @ 10/11

Handicap being the operative word, as Wasps handicapped themselves by playing a quarter of the game with 14 men, but thanks to Coral’s market, Wasps single point defeat means they came through.

Worcester to beat Bristol by 3 points @ 10/11

A win, victory, triumph - at last! Worcester’s convincing twenty point success ensured the town ran out of cider on Saturday night. Could it kick-start their season?

I incorrectly advised you to back

Sale Sharks to beat Harlequins by 13 points @ 10/11

Just when Harlequins look like shipping in tries from all corners, Dean Richards’ boys sort themselves out and turn up to dash the hopes of the betting world.

Lamb to the slaughter?

The Guinness Premiership is back for one week only but it’s a prime opportunity to make some cash before we all go nuts for the RBS Six Nations. I’m being a bit braver and picking a treble based on Coral’s handicap market and I think we’re on to a winner….

Sale to beat Harlequins by more than 13 points @ 10/11

These two are going in completely different directions of late. Sale welcome back Chabal, Bruno and Hodgson and are almost back at full strength since their first loss in seven at London Irish on their last outing. Quins’ only win in 12 games came on the 29 December at Worcester so this should be a formality.

Wasps to beat Gloucester with a 6 point advantage @ 10/11

If Wasps don’t win they could be ten points off the play-offs and with the international call-ups set to nick all their best players, they would be left with a mountain to climb - so they need it more than anyone. Gloucester have only beaten Wasps once in their last six meetings and Wasps were the last team to win at Kingsholm, and I expect them to get stung for the second successive league match.

Worcester to beat Bristol by more than 2 points @ 10/11

Bonus points from their last three games shows they are edging closer to their first win of the season and Bristol haven’t won away in the league since the 27th January 2007. One record’s going to go and I believe Worcester and Rico Gear will keep Bristol’s away-day blues going.

You can back these results as single, doubles or treble bets. If you stake £10.00 on the double with Coral it will return £69.68

Best of luck and head to the bank!

'I knew you'd get it right!'

Stuff Jim’ll fix it, you can keep your Chris Tarrant, the bet detective never lets you down. My chums down the pub were buying me pints all night on Saturday and I hope yours did the same after your trusty betting ally came up trumps!

I correctly advised you to back:

Saracens to beat Glasgow with a three point advantage @ 10/11

The main man does it again! Glen Jackson booted Sarries into the last eight and although the handicap illustrated it could be a close one, Glasgow were their own worst enemies at times but the Fez heads now top the quarter-final seedings.

Munster to beat Wasps by at least 5 points @ 10/11

Not the most entertaining but it had everything else. Wasps became the latest victims to the Thomond Park factor as Ronan O’Gara’s calm leadership and clinical kicking took the sting out of the champions charge.

Paul Sackey needs to be at his slippery best on Saturday...

We’ve arrived at this weekend’s final round of Heineken Cup pool fixtures and you cannot look any further than at Firhill and Thomond Park for the most drama. With only one team guaranteed qualification and the likelihood of a home draw, I’ve studied Paddy Power’s handicap market for the two biggest encounters and a delightful double…

Saracens to beat Glasgow with a three point advantage @ 10/11

The Dragons recent win at Firhill dented the Scots home record and Saracens only need a single point to win the group.

Last weekend’s hammering of Biarritz proved that the Fez heads are bang in form and the prospect of a first ever home quarter-final is reason enough to go all out for the win.

Munster to beat Wasps by at least 5 points @ 10/11

Thomond Park is Munster’s fortress and although Leicester commandeered and toppled the castle last year for the first time in the Heineken Cup, i'm not expecting Wasps to do the same.

Munster are the kings at making the impossible possible and although Wasps are in pole position and are current champions, the 2006 heroes should emerge victorious.

You can back these results as single bets or doubles. If you stake £10.00 on the double with Paddy Power it will return £36.45

Best of luck and put your money where my mouth is!

Stop hiding behind the fat lump Bet Detective!

Bugger, rats and knackers! Damn those friggin' Welsh boyos from Newport. One more flaming point and we'd have all been able to go up West on Satuday night in our brand new pinstripe suits. As it turned out, I missed out by a SINGLE point and instead I was compounded to a night in with no takeaway watching Big Brother.

I correctly advised you to back

Leinster to beat Toulouse with a 3 point advantage @ 10/11: The creme of the Celtic nations did us proud with a warrior effort at the Royal Dublin Showground. OK it wasn't all dancing feet and champagne rugby but Leinster are still within a shout as they travel to Leicester next weekend.

Saracens to beat Biarritz Olympique by at least 6 points @ 10/11: The handicap was very generous here and Saracens showed themselves as realistic title contenders with a 45-16 drubbing of the sleeping French giants. It must have been a horrible journey back to the south of France on Saturday night....

Ospreys to beat Gloucester Rugby with a 3 point advantage @ 10/11:
The Ospreys have a glimour of hope after trouncing England's finest, 32-15, in the hammering rain at the Liberty Stadium. Gloucester lacked any punch while the Welsh boys scored a 5th round KO!

I inorrectly advised you to back:

London Irish to beat Newport Gwent Dragons by at least 18 points @ 10/11: A resounding 41-24 point victory for the Exiles looks to have secured at least a place in the last eight as best runners-up but it wasn't quite enough as one more point, one more conversion, drop goal or penalty and we'd have all won a packet.
