'The most famous scrum-cap in... errrr.... Belfast?'

Munster 18-21 Glasgow

Obstruction ref! Nope Thom Evans can have that one. Other scores from Lome Fa'atau and Dougie Hall earned the Warriors their fifth straight league win of the season. Toulouse might be somewhat stronger so Munster better make sure they lose the invincible attitude.

Scarlets 12-29 Edinburgh

Top of the Scots! Fourth place was secured with a comfortable win in west Wales, running in four tries and icing the cake on what's been a diabolical couple of weeks for the Scarlets beginning with Phil Davies sacking and ending up sixth in the table - but ahead of the Ospreys!

Ulster 17-26 Blues

Walking stick anyone? The Irish legend of the Rugbytech scrum cap doctor David Humphreys only lasted eight minutes in his last outing with a recurrence of an Achilles problem ruining his moment. Ulster's defending was as weak as the fly-half's ankle allowing Maama Molitika to bulldoze through for two of Cardiff's four tries.

Dragons 31-26 Leinster

Champion choked! Four tries in the opening twenty minutes spoiled any further chance of this one being a contest despite the scoreline. It was a 41-8 reverse last weekend so god only knows that the Dublin boys have been doing all week.... Guinness anyone?

Connact 26-20 Ospreys

Grey away! A round of applause must go to the Ospreys who completed a 100% Magners League record on their travels this season. Keith Matthews bagged a second-half double for the hosts. OK so they won the EDF and claimed the Grand Slam with a little help from Martyn Williams but to lose every game - c'mon boys!

'They're dropping All-Blacks out of the sky...'

It's the final fling in the Magners League this weekend but with Leinster already crowned champions and Connacht pulling up the rear, it's all about celtic pride.

Ulster v Blues

It's officially David Humphreys Day in Belfast. Well not quite, but at Ravenhill the Ulster legend makes his final appearance before hanging up his smelly boots. Cardiff are laughing as the top placed Welsh team but a win against Munster would make them the next best in the Magners League.

Prediction: Ulster to win by 8 points

Dragons v Leinster

A trip to Rodney Parade is just what the doctor ordered, unless you're Leinster and you've already won the title. For the younger lads like Chris Keane and Cian Healy it's a good opportunity to force their way into next year's reckoning, but the Dragons have only beaten an Irish province once from the last seven matches and have European qualification guaranteed.

Prediction:
Leinster to win by 15 points.

Connacht v Ospreys

Connacht might be propping up the table but they'll be rubbing their hands at the prospect of facing an under-strength Ospreys. The Welsh boys are away sunning themselves in Ireland, so Connacht have a chance to put a rather large nail in Lyn Jones' coffin... Perhaps?!

Prediction: Connacht to win by 4 points.

Scarlets v Edinburgh

Emotions will be running high for Edinburgh fly-half Phil Godman was close to shedding a tear when he signed a new contract with his hometown club this week.  News for you Phil, Chris Paterson's on his way so no pressure! Hugo Southwell is also back after a family bash (sister's end of year concert?) and the Scarlets haven't won in four... I wonder?

Prediction:
Edinburgh to win by 13 points.

Munster v Glasgow

Munster hold an outside bet at nicking second spot from the Blues but it'd be like betting on Joanna Lumley wearing an Adidas tracksuit to a fancy London cocktail bar on a Friday night. Andrew Henderson is back in the Glasgow firing line while Anthony Foley could make his last ever start for Munster with only the Heineken Cup Final left to play.

Prediction:
Miunster to win by 16 points.

The most famous bird nest in rugby...

Dragons 18-10 Ospreys

It's been a while since a smile's been seen around Rodney Parade but by jove it was worth the wait as Colin Charvis put in a industrial shift to seal the Dragons place in next season's Heineken Cup.

Kevin Morgan and Charvis scored the Dragons tries while Shaun Connor contributed all of the Ospreys points.

By not selecting the first choice side, a habit Lyn Jones has become far too accustomed with in the Magners League, he has all but assured his departure from the EDF champions... If the fans have their way.

Guess who? Clue: He's retiring at the end of the season...

Leinster 41-8 Dragons

Leinster lifted the Magners League trophy with a six-try mauling of the Dragons in front of a jubilant RDS bank-holiday crowd.

Ollie Le Roux signed off on his triumphant one-year visit by bagging two tries as the giant South African prop got the Irish province off and running.

While Leinster have stuttered to sustain a title challenge in recent seasons, Brian O'Driscoll hopes this sucess can bounce them onto European glory rather than stare enviously at their Munster rivals.

Connacht 11-39 Blues

Tom James grabbed his eighth score of the campaign as the Blues ran in five tries to consilidate second spot and end Connacht's hopes of a Heineken Cup spot.

Gareth Thomas, Xavier Rush and Gareth Williams were also among the scorers but despite the scoreline the Cardiff boys were far from convincing.

Ospreys 18-19 Edinburgh

Alan MacDonald's last gasp try clinched a stunning victory at the Liberty Stadium and delay the Ospreys route into the Heineken Cup.

James Hook kicked all the Ospreys points but Edinburgh's ambition highlighted by their three scores, including one at the start of each half for Allister Hogg and Nick de Luca caught the EDF champions napping, and not for the first time this season.

Ulster 24-35 Glasgow

Having a steady marksman helps and Dan Parks gave another instrumental display in the art of kicking as Ulster were made to pay for a list of errors as long as Roy Carroll's goalkeeping blunders.

Both teams shared eight tries, the best being Tom Evans' score after another moment of genius by the Scotland fly-half.

Scarlets 23-24 Munster

Ten minutes injury time?! It's like the rugby gods wanted the Scarlets misery to continue.

Paul Warwick's monster penalty deep into added on time capped an awful week at Stradey, especially after being 20-5 up at half-time following tries for Dafydd James and Mattew Watkins but Warwick and a couple of Ian Dwling efforts sealed an agonising defeat.

"Know a good baby-sitter James?"

Warren Gatland’s injury concerns continue after Gavin Henson was ruled out of Wales’ tour of South Africa.

Despite not being named in Wales’ 24-man training squad to travel to Ireland, it was hoped that the Ospreys man would recover from his damaged ankle ligaments in time for the trip. But Henson has been forced to undergo keyhole surgery on the injury sustained in Ospreys’ Heinken Cup quarter-final defeat three weeks ago, ruling him out altogether.

Despite being a big miss for Wales and his club side, who still have three games remaining in the Magners League, it will at least give him some time off to focus on the main thing – cultivating a new hairstyle.
