Kieran Roche looked like he'd been ten rounds with Mike Tyson after copping one from Perry 'the forearm' Freshwater. Julian White's right-left combination on Malcom O'Kelly merited a double red-card, but Wasps skipper, Lawrence Dallaglio gave the Tigers prop a taste of his own medicine, showing yet again he was above the law. Gareth Llewellyn's hammerblow on David Barnes cost £250 for the trouble while Jason Hobson did his utmost to nick Phil Vickery's England jersey with an off-the-ball cheapshot that can only be desribed as admirable childs-play.

They don't 'arf build 'em big in Jersey. 6ft 7in, 17 1/2 stone and with all that speed - lord only knows what took him so long to realise he'd be far better suited, taking out his frustrations on guys half his size, rather than a pesky little ball. London Irish might've played him at lock, but the 20-year-old has terrorised more people than the Halifax TV advert, scoring ten tries in his rookie season and a stunning hat-trick on his England Saxons debut. And who's the man to thank? Brian Ashton of course...

Four tries against Wales and all of a sudden Nick Easter was proclaimed as the new Lawrence Dallaglio. 12 months later and 18 caps for England, the Harlequins number eight has been replaced by Will Skinner as club captain and continues to stick the ball up his jumper and grunt like a goat. If Easter gets 81,600 fans selling their dog for a ticket to Twickenham, then we'll start reporting about Krufts.

So the adrenalin's running and you aren't thinking... Toby Flood has no excuse for his swan dive in Rome - no need! Nor Ugo Monye for that 'I love Jesus t-shirt.' Messrs Sackey and Cipriani - the French Prince of Bel Air was cool in the 90's. Any individual that sheds the tears - Dallaglio managed it before even leaving the tunnel at Twickenham, but there was something passionately romantic about Rome, Scotland losing and Italy celebrating the RBS 6 Nations wooden spoon.

One of Fraser's heroes is Daley Thompson, but even the decathlete would envy the Wasps centre's durability. In 218 appearances, Waters has won ten cups, but only 3 England caps to show for it. A pivotal figure for the hungriest trophy-hunters either side of the 21st century, yet the 'Old Etonian' has constantly been ignored. Something's wrong there...
