'Like my invention? A microphone doubling up as a nose scratcher'

The recruitment process has begun at Kingston Park with former Falcon Alan Tait signing a three-year-deal to move south of the border and link up with Newcastle.

The Scotland coach will start work as the Falcons assistant coach on July 1 after coming back from a tour of the malbec vineyards of Argentina besides overseeing a couple of Test matches.

Bryan Redbath'...Wake me up when we get back to Edinburgh...'

Scotland will play their autumn test against Canada at Aberdeen Football Club's Pittodrie home. The last, and only game to be played at the 21,500 seater stadium was the Barbarians clash three years ago. It will be a special occasion for local-boy Jason White, who first played rugby for Aberdeen Wanderers.

Beautiful!

Scotland's preparations for their two Test trip to Argentina has been hit by a couple of late withdrawals. It's a crying shame for 23-year-old prop Moray Low, who was on the verge of a first cap, so that pretty looking thing, Craig Smith takes his spot.

Nikki Walker and Rory Lamont have failed to recover from existing niggles so Max Evans joins younger brother Thom on the plane.
