Who's happiest? Doesn't take Einstein to work it out...

What a result! Get in! Back of the net! Cash-back. Yes all of these apply to Martin Johnson and his immediate reaction to the 2011 Rugby World Cup draw.

Displaced into sixth spot by the Welsh at the weekend, England would've happily handed them a promotion knowing they would be pooled with Argentina, Scotland and Tonga, thus avoiding the southern hemisphere's big three.

It's going to be mightily hard for Argentina to recreate the daydreaming standards from France but as long as Juan Martin Hernandez and the Lobbe brothers hang around, they'll still have plenty of ammunition.

And what of Scotland? 1987 all over again? Needless to say kicking sessions will double leading up to the tasty fixture against the auld enemy.

For beating Australia and saving an embarrassing southern hemisphere whitewash, Wales have been handed South Africa and 2007 demons, Fiji, with Samoa potentially to come. Ouch! Unfortunately my Welsh colleague's actual reaction cannot be printed for legal reasons.

Ireland will fancy their chances of navigating their way past Australia and Italy considering their ever-improving performances in New Zealand and topping the group could herald a World Cup best.

The whole of New Zealand will be rubbing their hands with delight at the prospect of opening the tournament against 2007 conquerors, France. What price Wayne Barnes' name appears on the team-sheet?

The full draw...

Pool A: New Zealand, France, Tonga, Americas 1, Asia 1
Pool B: Argentina, England, Scotland, Europe 1, Play-off Winner
Pool C: Australia, Ireland, Italy, Europe 2, Americas 2
Pool D: South Africa, Wales, Fiji, Oceania 1, Africa 1

Ronan O'Gara: 'When I call 99 boys!'

Ireland 17-3 Argentina

It's hardly front page news but these two foes aren't the best of buddies and the unforgiving chill in the Dublin air made for quite a frosty match.

Played out like a World Cup qualifier, neither side gave an inch and when the gloves came off it wasn't because of the weather despite things heating up at the breakdown.

With revenge already being talked up from the Pumas camp, Ronan O'Gara took charge against a plucky yet inexperienced Santiago Fernandez, deputising for the mercurial Juan Martin Hernandez.

O'Gara bossed the home-straight, scoring 12 of Ireland's 17 points with his dangerous right -boot that also had a hand in engineering Tommy Bowe's 76th minute clincher.

Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe: They're greeeeaaaat!

Who'd have thunk it, eh? One game could play such a crucial role for the next three years. Thanks to the IRB and their somewhat confusing qualification points system, Argentina's visit to Ireland might as well be a World Cup Final.

Ireland must win to secure their place in the second tier and have recalled Geordan 'maverick' Murphy at full-back and Jerry 'pit-bull' Flannery at hooker to bolster their chances.

Argentina need a win to guarantee a seedings spot and despite stuttered progression since Marcelo Loffreda's exit, Santiago Phelan's merry men are just 80 minutes away from avoiding the southern hemisphere triumverate in 2011.

Phelan has been forced into a number of changes, most notably at inside centre, where captain and local-boy, Felipe Contepomi misses out. Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe takes over as skipper while Juan Manuel Leguizamon comes in at number eight.

Ireland haven't beaten the Pumas since 2004 but if there was a moment to end their drought (and that goes for crossing the try-line too) this wouldn't be an awful occasion.

Ireland: 15 Geordan Murphy, 14 Tommy Bowe, 13 Brian O'Driscoll (c), 12 Luke Fitzgerald, 11 Robert Kearney, 10 Ronan O'Gara, 9 Tomas O'Leary, 8 Jamie Heaslip, 7 David Wallace, 6 Stephen Ferris, 5 Paul O'Connell, 4 Donncha O'Callaghan, 3 John Hayes, 2 Jerry Flannery, 1 Marcus Horan.
Replacements: 16 Rory Best, 17 Tony Buckley, 18 Malcolm O'Kelly, 19 A.N. Other, 20 Eoin Reddan, 21 Paddy Wallace, 22 Keith Earls.

Argentina: 15 Horacio Agulla, 14 Francisco Leonelli, 13 Federico Martin Aramburu, 12 Miguel Avramovic, 11 Rafael Carballo, 10 Juan Martin Hernandez, 9 Nicolas Vergallo, 8 Juan Manuel Leguizamon, 7 Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe (c), 6 Martin Durand, 5 Patricio Albacete, 4 Rimas Alvarez Kairelis, 3 Juan Pablo Orlandi, 2 Mario Ledesma, 1 Rodrigo Roncero.
Replacements: 16 Alberto Vernet Basualdo, 17 Marcos Ayerza, 18 Esteban Lozada, 19 Alvaro Galindo, 20 Agustin Figuerola, 21 Santiago Fernandez, 22 Bernardo Stortoni

Rodrigo Roncero: 'It wasn't me?'

Dax winger Lucas Borges has withdrawn from Argentina's squad for November's international series.

Pucara's Mauro Comuzzi has been called up as a replacement while Clermont Auvergne's Alejandro Campos completes the touring party.

It's been a bad week for Argentina boss Santiago Phelan with the news that star prop Rodrigo Roncero could miss the autumn internationals after being cited in Stade Francais' defeat by Toulouse.

Felipe Contepomi: '...Don't cry for me Argentina...'

Can you believe it’s almost a year to the day that Felipe Contepomi kicked Argentina into a record-breaking World Cup semi-final? Well 2007 was a great year all round for the Pumas star, realising another life’s ambition by becoming a doctor. Speaking as an ambassador for Rugby Expo, Dr. Phl became ScrumoftheEarth’s latest patient…
