Dwayne Peel will improve the Sharks killer instinct

Just as news filters out of Wales that future international players playing out of the regions could harm selection, their biggest star, Dwayne Peel joins Sale Sharks.

I’m sure he’ll go with a heavy heart but the lure of real competitive rugby every week must have been too much.

Like a lot of Welshmen, he’s never worked or lived out of the country and Manchester is a far stretch from the delights of Llanelli on a weekend.

Peel-Hodgson-McAllister = lots of running rugby!

Who will take Clermont's throne as champions?

Friday, 11 January 2008

Montauban v Worcester
: English wins on French soil are like gold dust but the Warriors will have enough.

Brive v Newcastle: (as above) Newcastle need a downpour, if it rains then Wilko could kick them to victory.
Sale v Petrarca: No danger of anything but a home thrashing! Did someone say 70+
Leeds Carnegie v Dax: Leeds and Leeds and Leeds and Leeds marching on together...

Saturday, 12 January 2008

Auch v Albi
: Sensational 31-30 victory for Auch but it won't be so close this time. Home win!

Overmach Parma v Bath: 28-point drubbing at the Rec, expect similar treatment.
Bucuresti v Rugby Parma: Drew last time out, fancying the Italians for an away triumph.
Bayonne v Montpellier: Montpellier.....in a close one!
Calvisano v Castres: An Italian side beating the French... No chance!

Sunday, 13 January 2008

Cetransa El Salvador v Connacht
: The Spaniards aren't putting up much of an Armada. Away drubbing.
