Sixways is an RFU favourite

Worcester's Sixways Stadium will stage the U18 international between England and Wales on Sunday 2 March (3pm kick-off).

General Manager Charlie Little was delighted the club was once again handed the chance to showcase an international match.

“We are honoured to be chosen to host this prestigious fixture at Sixways Stadium and look forward to welcoming the England and Wales U18 teams,” said Mr Little.

“Having already hosted international rugby here, the fixture will provide a further boost to the growing reputation of Sixways as one of the leadings stadiums in Europe. Our facilities have been recognised by the RFU and with improved car parking and access we are confident we will host a very successful and special event.

“The game here will offer rugby supporters across the Midlands a great chance to watch the stars of tomorrow and will provide for many families and young fans the chance to enjoy international rugby for the first time."

Tickets for the match are priced at £10 for adults (£12 on the day) and £5 for juniors (£6 on the day).

Who'll be heading to Twickenham this year?

The regional finals of Daily Mail Cup action come to the fore this week with all the likely lads from previous years still in the hunt.

For some schools the rugby term has already finished, but with a showpiece Twickenham Final in front of 40,000 screaming teenagers firmly in the mind, the examination period now begins.

Champions, Warwick, entertain the much fancied John Cleveland College in the Midlands. Last year's beaten finalists, Barnard Castle, who have nutured the likes of Matt Tait, face a tricky trip to St. Ambrose while the plum tie of the 6th round has to be in the west country where St. Peter's, Gloucester do battle with Wellington College whose only defeat this year came at Bryanston School.

St Benedict's, Ealing are the first side into the last eight after sneaking past a plucky Hustpierpoint, mainly thanks to an assured display from Stuart Pearham behind a solid forward effort from the Londonders.

Sixth Round tie: RGS Newcastle v Stonyhurst; St Ambrose v Barnard Castle; Worcester Sixth Form College v Old Swinford Hospital; Warwick v John Cleveland; Filton v Truro College; St Peter's, Gloucester v Wellington College; KCS Wimbledon v Campion.
