Not the ideal start for new Tigers coach, Marcelo Loffreda and it was a former ally that spoiled his weekend in Ireland. Felipe Contepomi showed no signs of a World Cup hangover, and was fresh as a daisy despite the early start, playing a massive hand for the game's only try and kicking 15 points in the howling RDS gale. And it was a couple of old Leicester lads who epitomised the warrior-esque defensive efforts.

Well done Leinster and I am more proud than ever before regarding Felipe Contempomi’s performance as one of the best players of rugby, he is an archetype of an athlete but more of a wonderful human being, a true and devote Catholic and a man who loves Ireland, a country, which has so many ties with Argentina since our independence. I imagine that Marcelo Loffreda, in spite of the fact that he is coaching Leicester he must be very happy of his fly half and friend as well, he had recognized Felipe’s accomplishment during Saturday’s match in all newspapers here in Buenos Aires. Here in Buenos Aires we hope that not only the Irish delegate to the IRB will support our petition to be accepted in the Six Nations Championship, we expect that the Scots and English will make the same request as well, is the wish of all Argentineans who love rugby. Here we are extremely happy with Felipe Contempomi’s achievements with his club. By the way, both of us learned rugby with the Irish Christian brothers at our school the Cardinal Newman, but we belong to different generations. For of our Pumas went to school to Saint Andrew’s from the Scottish community, the cradle of Argentine rugby.
