'I only stamped on him, look what he's done'

England and Wasps prop, Phil Vickery's been at it again with his foul behaviour. His stamp on Clermont lock Thibault Privat during last weekend's Heineken Cup match at the Stade Marcel Michelin looks to have him in hot water and could lead to a three-game-ban over the Christmas period and important Guinness Premiership fixtures.

Remember that trip on Paul Emerick in the Rugby World Cup? It cost him two matches against South Africa and Samoa, but this time, his citing might mean a long Christmas holiday.

Vickery's case will be heard by an independent disciplinary committee very soon, but whether or not the hearing will be before the return match against Clermont this Saturday remains to be seen.

For London Wasps, let's hope not...
