Care

/ Harlequins and England Saxons

Born in Leeds, Care is the archetypal Yorkshire terrier, and has been an England regular since the age of 16, making his mark in every age-group. Scrum-half may have been a problem position for England since 2003 but by 2011, the odds on Care and former England U21 teammate, Danny Cipriani, resuming their half-back partnership look good.

Growing up I wanted to be a footballer. I was part of the Sheffield Wednesday Academy and I am a big Liverpool fan. If I wasn't playing rugby, I doubt whether I would be doing a lot, maybe I'd try my luck at being a fireman.

I was five when I first picked up a rugby ball. I went to watch my brother at my local club, West Park Bramhope.

I was running down the wing and dived over in the corner to score my first try. It's my earliest rugby memory. My dad's got it on video. I was about eight playing for West Park Bramhope.

Winning the Silver medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. Unfortunately we lost in the final, but on another day we could've won it - it has been my proudest moment to date.

It's my dream is to play for England It would be amazing, a once in a lifetime opportunity to get picked for the next World Cup, but I'm focusing on holding down a regular place with Harlequins.

I'd walk out to LL Cool J If I had a 20/20 song it'd be ‘Something Like a Phenomenon.'

offer these days."
